CHAD RITER

California native, Chad Riter currently resides in New York Citywhere he is a featured performer with Walker Dance (directed by Chet Walker) and the Jeff Shade Dance Project. Chad began dancing at the age of four and trained at prestigious schools such as The Juilliard School, The Joffrey Ballet, Jacob’s Pillow, Paul Taylor Company, Idyllwild Arts Academy, San Diego City Ballet and The Edge. No stranger to the competition circuit, as a child, Chad received top awards from Kids Artistic Revue, ShowBiz, Showstoppers, and I Love Dance. It is because of the positive experiences Chad had on the competition circuit that he is eager to share his passion and love of dance with the next generation.

A graduate of The Boston Conservatory, Chad performed in the tap ensemble for four years. He also had the honor of dancing the repertory of renowned choreographers such as Jose Limon, Paul Taylor, and Anna Sokolow. Chad was also seen as Jackie in Andrew Lippa’s The Wild Party. Since relocating to NYC, Chad has performed across the country in 42nd St., White Christmas, La Cage Aux Folles, The Music Man, Beauty and the Beast, Me and My Girl, Barnum, Brigadoon, The Buddy Holly Story, Anything Goes at Trump Plaza and Hello Dolly staring Sally Struthers. Chad’s NYC performances include “The Playground” at Manhattan Movement Arts Center with the Jeff Shade Dance Project and “A Tribute for Jonathan Phelps” at Symphony Space with Walker Dance.
